Parent tells us about the problems in the Wilkinson Administration's uniform
standards

We at The Unofficial Bundy High Newsletter have long known that students dislike wearing
their school uniforms, but doesn't it seem wrong that a student be punished for wearing their
school uniform? We received this email late last week:
As a parent of a student who was disciplined for wearing the "wrong" shorts" I would like to make the
point that in my opinion what he was wearing fitted the description in the school handout- no logos,
no baggy styles, no cargo pants, no holey material and no jeans. The suggested fabrics include taslon,
coudaroy and any other suitable material. I described the shorts to Mr. Wilkinson as casual navy dress
shorts but by his definition they are "jeans" style - well I'm sticking to my opinion and my son is
wearing them to school. The school also needs to be consistent as I understand that taslon is quite
acceptable for the Senior uniform but it is in fact not mentioned under the senior uniform only on the
junior side.

What is wrong with this Administration? Apart from this email, we have also heard many complaints
about what is considered "acceptable" jumpers. The Wilkinson Administration has been punishing
students for wearing blue or navy jumpers that clearly adhere to the standards that they have set.
Students are being punished for not digging into their savings and paying for a $50 jumper that will
not only probably not fit them next year, but also advertises the "great things" that the Wilkinson
Administration has been doing (I'm assuming this doesn't include the victimisation of students who do
not sport flashy new jackets.)
This whole uniform fiasco has taught us that the Wilkinson Administration preaches conformity and
will punish mavericks in their society. I hope that you join The Unofficial Bundy High
Newsletter in protest against the Wilkinson Administration by refusing to buy and wear official
Bundy High Jackets.
