JAPANESE STUDENTS ACCUSED OF "CULTURAL
IMPERIALISM"
Students witness beatings, torture
Friday 3 August 2001
Over the past week, numerous Japanese Students have been seen pressuring their own cultures onto
both Bundy High students and Bundaberg Citizens alike. As part of our Japanese Student special, we
have decided to highlight some of these 'crimes against humanity' as one teacher put it.
We'll start with the childish 'fads'. The students didn't even need to come here for these fads to take
place, but them being here hasn't helped. Here are some troubled youths, caught in the grip of
'Poke-mania', which was introduced during the Japanese visit.
 Look at this disgrace!
It seems Mr Wilkinson has made some controversial new 'friends' as well as acquired new pets
(Lil' Wilko is pictured above, middle) since the visit) (Click to enlarge)
The means in which they instilled these new 'cultures' is also relatively controversial. If a student or
citizen didn't want to partake in the 'Poke-mania', the Japanese Student in question would simply get a
whole lot of friends and beat the person into submission until he or she agreed to buy Pokemon cards,
as shown below.

They also attempted to install their fashion sense within our community. Take for instance their shoes.
Now, here in Australia, everyone (apart from Mr. Holledge) finds it rather unfashionable to wear sports
shoes in the casual arena. Now, call me an old phobie but I'd like to know when it came fashionable to
wear running and other various sports shoes around school. It seems its been fashionable in Japan
for quite a while, judging by these pictures we managed to get, while out of the view of the prying
Japanese eye.

Yes, as you can see on the left is what we're used to seeing people wearing around school. Then these
fancy-shmancy Japanese people come along with their gold shoes thinking they're real good. We got
that pic as one of them was bending down to do up their shoe lace by the way.
However, the most worrisome from of imperialism was when they tried to make us listen and buy their
music. Many people in Bundy High like many different forms of music, however this is not one of those
types. As you will hear below, this obnoxious rot was forced upon students and citizens all week.
Simply download a song, press play and brace yourself.

Well, you may not have thought it at first, but I'm sure your now counting your blessings that they
were only here for a week and a half, and not for a month. For if they were here for a month, it could
have meant disaster for Bundy High and everyone in it..................................
