BUNDY HIGH RECOGNISES 'INTELLECTUALLY CHALLENGED'
So-called 'dumb award' introduced

Monday 25 June 2001

Among other announcements made today about Bundy Highs annual gala event, the 'Awards Night', known to some as 'Speech Night', a new award to be presented was shown to the press. While new awards are made quite often, this is one with a difference. The new award will be presented to the schools dumbest students, proving quite a contrast to the 'brainy types' that usually attend such ceremonies.

"The award will be given to the intellectually challenged. You know, the morons, the stupid people, and also the people who quite simply are extremely retarded. Maybe it will make them work harder to get better grades," said Mr. Weir in the press conference. When asked if the award would just make students strive to be stupider, Mr. Weir replied. "Who knows, who cares? I just made this award so that I, along with the Mayor and all the other smart people of the school can laugh and make jokes about them."

Upon hearing this, The Unofficial Bundy High Newsletter has once again done some research as to whom the possible candidates for the award could be. The pictures below are our shortlist. Remember, we had to go into the darkest depths of Bundy High to get these so you may not have seen these people around the school grounds. And don't try looking for them either.

Since this year's ceremony is predicted to be so popular, mainly due to this new award, the Wilkinson Administration has decided to sell tickets to the event in the effort of revenue raising. Even if you're getting an award, you must pay to get in, according to Mr. Weir. Tickets go on sale 1st August for $15 Dollars each. See cashier for more details.
